Edwin Kpedor is a Lawyer and an experienced Marketing and Business Development Professional with a Chartered Marketer qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, and an additional UK postgraduate degree (MSc) in Global Marketing Practice and an LL. M Candidate in the Natural Resource Law Master’s Programme at the University of Ghana. He is a highly motivated and conscientious young man with a high sense of integrity, dynamism, and professionalism. Having spent over six years in a fast-paced, and performance-oriented organization, he has developed professional competence in customer service, relationship management, strategic management, and the art of exceeding targets whiles working with diverse individuals from different countries and cultures.
His passion for success has manifested throughout his career with the Sahara Group- a leading Energy Sector player where he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the company’s strategy for its two subsidiaries – So Energy Ghana Ltd; and Petroleum Warehousing and Supplies Ltd BDC (PWSL- BDC).
His achievements with the Sahara Group have been phenomenal, having been involved in the successful commencement of operations of PWSL- BDC in Ghana, acquiring an export license, and developing a sustainable strategy for the company’s operations. He was instrumental in the reorganization of So Energy as a company. He contributed to stabilizing its performance while identifying a sustainable strategy to make it one of Ghana’s leading Oil Marketing Companies.
He is a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing – UK. He holds an MSc in Global Marketing from the Anglia Ruskin University with a dissertation that analyzed “the effect of branding on shareholder value.” Edwin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Having completed his LLB with the University of London External programmes and the Professional Law Course (PLC), Edwin qualified as a practicing Lawyer and was called to the Ghana Bar.
Apart from being a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (CIM- UK), He is also a member of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) and the Global Marketing Network.
Additionally, Edwin is a serial entrepreneur interested in businesses in Ghana’s Marketing, Technologies, Properties, and Mining sectors and is focused on Strategic Analysis and implementing varied business ideas into workable Plans.
He is the Managing Partner of Edfields Attorneys – a modern Ghanaian law firm that embodies the best qualities of a Ghanaian enterprise – tenacity, adaptability, hard work, and commitment. The firm focuses on Natural Resource Practice, including Oil and Gas and Environmental Law.
Edwin is also the Executive Secretary of the African Centre for Minerals, Mining, and Sustainable Development- an extractive sector sustainability Non-Governmental Organization based in Accra.
He is a Lecturer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Business Law and Ethics Course, the Examiner, and a member of the Legal and Ethics Committee of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).
